Screw Jack Plates

Building a Screw Jack system, depending on your configuration may require adding a larger Gearbox with greater power capacity into your design, or you may need to change the fixing mounting position if fixing from below is not possible.

Kelston mounting plates allow systems components to be easily levelled to the correct centreline or they can convert your screw jack into a foot mounted unit.

Couplings

Kelston supply a wide range of couplings to compliment your system building requirements.

The MVC range feature double clamps with central elastomer that allow the fitting and removal of coupling before or after you other components are assembled.

The MV range are designed as part of a drive shaft system allowing the modular building of a custom drive shafts.

Knowledge Base

Screw Jack Working Principle

Screw Jack Working Principle

Screw Jacks are found wherever there is a need to lift, position and hold load. A Screw Jack (also known as a Jack Screw, a Worm Screw Jack, a Machine Screw Jack or a Lead Screw Jack) is a devise used to convert rotational motion into linear motion.

Worm and Wheel

Worm and Wheel

Worm Drives are used when the axis of rotation of a shaft must change direction. Being low-cost, potentially self-locking and providing high gear reductions, Worm Drives provide an effective means of decreasing speed whilst increasing torque.

Bevel Gear Sets

Bevel Gear Sets

Bevel gears are used when the axis of rotation of a shaft must change direction. Providing a highly efficient and durable means of gear reduction, Bevel Gear sets have many uses.
